We live in a world where a new fragrance launches more often than someone posts a selfie on your Instagram feed. How do you sort what's good from what's, well, not? To help, we grabbed six of autumn's notable launches and poured them into unmarked vials — stripping them of their bottles, and thus, of the clever logos and marketing ploys that change the way we may perceive our products.
Then, we put them in front of six of our most scrutinizing staffers — including our beauty editor, a few perfume newbies, and one R29er with a history of liking rather questionable smells. In this blind test, fondly dubbed Perfume Pop Quiz, they reveal their real thoughts on these scents.
